Mira

Terms of Use

Last updated: October 4, 2026

These terms set out the conditions for using Mira ("the app"). By using the app, you agree to these terms. Anything these terms don't cover is governed by Apple's Standard License Agreement (EULA).

1. The service

The app provides Spanish videos along with learning content such as subtitles, English translations and word explanations. Videos play in YouTube's official player, and the copyright in each video belongs to its creator. Subtitles, translations and explanations are reference material for learning, and their accuracy is not fully guaranteed.

2. Premium (auto-renewing subscription)

There is a yearly plan (with a 1-week free trial) and a monthly plan. The price is shown on the confirmation screen when you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple ID, and the subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. If you cancel during the free trial, you won't be charged. You can cancel and manage your subscription in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

3. Prohibited use

Unauthorized modification or reverse engineering of the app, republishing its content without permission, and any other use that breaks the law are prohibited.

4. Feedback board

On the feedback board you can report bugs, post ideas, vote and comment. Posts and comments are shown to other users without a name.

Objectionable content and abusive behavior are not tolerated. Please don't post insults, harassment, hateful or discriminatory language, threats, sexual content, spam or advertising, or personal information (yours or anyone else's). Posts are checked automatically before they appear, and anyone can report a post with "Report." Posts that break these terms are removed, and posting may be stopped from devices that repeatedly break them. You can also hide a person's posts on your own device with "Hide posts from this person."

We may use what you send us to improve the app.

5. Disclaimer

Some videos may stop playing if their availability on YouTube changes. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from use of the app. These terms are governed by the laws of Japan.

6. Data we use

The app uses dictionary data from Wiktionary (CC BY-SA 4.0, Wiktionary contributors) and word frequency data from "wordfreq" (CC BY-SA 4.0, © Robyn Speer; used to estimate difficulty).

7. Changes

If these terms change, we'll let you know in the app.
