Mira

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 4, 2026

Mira ("the app") is a Spanish-learning app you can use without an account. This policy explains what information the app handles.

1. Information that stays on your phone

Your saved words and videos, review history, study time and settings (level, goal and so on) are stored only on your iPhone and are never sent to our servers. Deleting the app erases them.

2. Anonymous usage counts

To improve the app, it may send counts once a day, such as how many times the app was opened or how many words were saved. It never sends the words or sentences themselves, or anything that could identify you or your device (name, email address, advertising ID, device ID and so on). Turn off "Share anonymous usage counts" in Profile and nothing is sent.

3. Videos

Videos play in YouTube's official embedded player. While a video plays, YouTube (Google) may collect information through the player. See Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) for details.

4. Purchases

Subscriptions are purchased through Apple's App Store. The app never receives your payment information.

5. Pronunciation audio

When you play the pronunciation of a word or phrase, the app sends that word (or phrase) to our server, which creates the audio with Google Cloud Text-to-Speech. The audio is saved on your phone and reused. The only things sent are the word and an anonymous ID used to prevent overuse (a random ID created by the app that does not identify you or your device).

6. Feedback board

In Profile → Feedback you can report bugs, suggest ideas, and vote on and comment on other people's posts (using it is entirely optional).

7. Notifications

Daily reminders are notifications scheduled on your phone, and only if you allow them. No information is sent for them.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, we'll let you know in the app.
